FAQ

Is this for me?

Let me answer this with more questions:

  • Do you want to feel better, have more energy, and be more mentally focused?

  • Are you interested in learning more about how your food choices directly impact your health?

  • Do you want to know more about how a properly functioning digestive system affects all other body systems?

  • Would you like to cook more of your own meals, but just don't know where to start?

  • Are you willing to make reasonable changes to your life in order to see real changes in your health, energy, and general outlook?

  • Are you ready to take control of your health today and feel the benefits of early action for the rest of your life?

If your answer was YES  to any of these, then this is for you!

It is important to remember that true healing is rarely a quick fix. You have to put some work into this, but you don't have to do it alone.  My goal is to identify underlying systemic issues, and then use real food, lifestyle adjustments, and possibly supplements to bring things back into alignment.

What should I expect before and during my initial appointment?

Once you have scheduled an initial visit, I will send you an email with a few forms to be filled out. This includes a detailed health history, a 300+ symptom survey questionnaire, and a food/mood journal. The more information you can give me, the better equipped I will be to help you.

During the appointment, we will discuss all of the information you've sent me in detail. We will go over your health challenges and goals. If we meet in person, I will be able to muscle test to make sure that we are focusing on your priorities and that you are using the supplements your body most wants. Lastly, we will look into testing options that will give us even more information and insight into your current situations.

What should I expect going forward?

At each appointment, we will take stock of your wins and frustrations since our last visit. We will discuss what is needed to get you to your next goal, review any new information, and come up with an updated plan for the next month.

After 3-4 months, we will run labs again to see the tangible results of all of your adjustments. This is usually very exciting, although it is important to remember that this is a stepping stone towards even better things.

What types of testing do you offer?

In addition to the information you will provide with your intake paperwork, I will also use muscle testing, hair tissue testing, and blood labs to see where your body is now. These are all highly affordable modalities that give us direct insight into you.

What is the HTMA test?

The Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis test is a non-invasive, affordable way to see how your body is absorbing and using minerals. It gives us a starting point to understand where potential nutrient and metabolic breakdowns are in your system. Essential minerals (calcium, magnesium, sodium, and many more) are a crucial part of all enzymatic and hormonal activity in your body. Get a bit more information here.

How does the blood testing work?

Blood tests are an accessible, affordable way to see where your body is at right now. It can give insights into nutritional deficiencies, inflammation, and other struggles that your body might be facing.

If you have recent blood labs from your doctor, we can use those as a primary tool. If not, we will get you blood work that will help us see where your body is now and how we might be able to best support it.

What if I don't want to take supplements?

No problem! I will never push anything on you that you are not comfortable with. Be aware that supplements can often assist and speed up the process, and you might feel better faster. If you choose to move forward with them, I will do my best to get you access to the highest quality supplements for the best price.

Do you take insurance?

Unfortunately, I am not able to bill insurance. It is possible that your insurance or HSA will cover these services, but you will need to follow-up with them to determine this.
